Miniatures in Jest

Monday, March 29, 2010

I didn't know a world could be conceived this small.
It's disturbing, this overextended sense of
disproportion is.

I want to leave it, get off somehow
and find a less shrinking, condensed place.

There isn't anything in balance or proportion here,
my internal equilibrium is upset with it.
It's ill, sick.

In need of dismantling,
made smaller somehow, a humbler version
of itself.

We need not be so grandiose in our churchly edifaces
Such a ballooning of values, so nothing else can exist
besides it.

It is in need of destruction!
