Climbing to the very top, till the trellis dome appears,
reaching into the clouds,
brings back the gods of Greece to the coliseum pageants.
They sit and view the puny man from their cloud pillowed chairs,
placing wagers and bets, on their favorites to win.
Briefly, the sun shines through the cloud's mist,
revealing light filled bodies and even more brilliant minds.
In this coliseum fortress, the gods do exist, and regularly hold court,
on the affairs of men.
