City of Etched Curtain

Into the irradiated sky the light focused and refracted. Near the horizon, the purple hemisphere of gases moved over the fragile curtain etchings. Buildings had turned into blue metallic fibers before crumbling into dust.

No life manifested itself on this side of the veil.
