Day 086 – The Green Fairy

Lives camouflaged in forest clothes,
beside the river Grenne,
where lively dancing gnomes partake
from dew’s cups, in petals borne.

In Siskewitch in forlorn mien,
they hover over wells,
lest fair maidens sighing, singing
make wishes to full-fill.

Beware of treading on fairy’s wings,
lest they foul curses cry,
then dark will spread, and things be lost,
and sickness will prevail.

T’is lovely, mostly, this fairy green,
so helpful to growing plants,
sends buzzing insects, hummingbirds,
to flowers to make them sing.
